On the 9th of May 2020, Shanti Ashram returned to work in the middle of the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic in India. More than 400 days on, we continue our work to ensure the wellbeing of the most vulnerable children and communities during this devastating second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the last four months, we have been inundated by images of suffering, grief and loss beyond comprehension. Many of us have lost loved ones, and supported those we love as they have grieved their own personal losses. None of us will emerge from this pandemic unscathed. But this time has also shown us the very best of humanity, in the form of the love and support of family, friends and many times, even strangers. These stories of hope are the ones we want to focus on, and the ones we want to share with you on our newly created Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/shantiashram/
We welcome you to follow us along on this journey of hope, love and solidarity. This Instagram page will also feature reports from the field, updates about our work and insights into our future projects. We look forward to seeing you there!
