Shaping the Future Together: Building a Healthier Childhood
Sudha Ramalingam is the Director Research and Innovation, Professor and Head in Community Medicine & Director, PSG FAIMER Regional Institute at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore. She is a visiting scholar in the division of global health at Harvard T H Chan school of Public Health, USA.
She holds an MD in Community Medicine (with a university gold medal), a PG Diploma in Bioethics and a Masters in Health Professions Education from Keele University, UK. She has completed her postdoctoral fellowships in genetics and genetic epidemiology from Stanford and University of Chicago respectively. She was a Fulbright visiting scientist at Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health and worked in the areas of Environmental epigenetics. She has completed her FAIMER fellowship in medical education in 2012 and ACME (Advanced Course in medical Education) in 2017 and an advanced course in CBME by FAIMER,USA in 2022. She was also awarded the International Fellowship in Medical Education (IFME, FAIMER) in 2017. She got her certification in Lifestyle Medicine from the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine in 2023.
She is a curriculum committee member at her institute and also a member in board of studies for UG and PG education for government and private universities in health professions education and community medicine. She is also an International faculty for the iFACE (Advanced International course in Competency Based Medical Education) program by IFI, Philadelphia. In addition, she is a member of the Central Ethics and Research Committee of ICMR and on the reviewer panel of the Fulbright programme.She has published over 50 peer reviewed articles in National and International journals.Areas of interest include NCD research, esnvironmental health, health humanities and ethics education.
