Interactive Session on Knowledge update: Sports and its impact on well-being of CHILDREN via zoom
Sports and physical activity can serve as a crucial part of a child’s growth and development. It helps in shaping of physical fitness of the body and ensures mental health and well-being. Through participation in sports and games, a child gains various skills, experience and confidence that are helpful for developing their personality. Specifically; both biological and psychological factors come into play. This session is to discuss some of the reasons why exercise is helpful in boosting mental & physical health. According to research, doing physical activity three to five times a week for at least 30 minutes can provide various benefits including better health and wellbeing of a child.
This Interactive knowledge update on importance of sports session is to help and guide the children on sports and to find their interests.

A Long distance runner (5000mts,10,000mts, cross country & Marathon runner), his sports achievements include a 4time podium finisher in the Chennai Marathon 2012-15 and accolades in the ‘All India inter-University Championships’. While a student at the Bharathiar University, he was consecutive champion in 5000mts, 10000mts, and half marathon. He has also trained many state level junior& senior athletes. A two time National medalist himself, his student Mr.Sathish Kumar won the ‘National Gold medal’ in the cross country championships& Ms. Vishrutha created a new meet records in the ‘National Youth Athletics Championship’ in the 400 meter hurdles.
